Specializing in wet plate collodion photography, a process introduced in the mid-19th century using glass (ambrotype) or treated metal (tintype or ferrotype) plates as the photographic base. The process requires the photograph be taken and processed all while the chemistry is still wet (hence, the name wet plate) requiring the aspiring photographer to carry an entire darkroom around with them! The process has recently been regaining some popularity due to the beautifully detailed images that can be produced.
